Consett Junior School
During the first Lockdown Consett Junior School like most remained open to vulnerable children and the children of critical workers only (Subtle difference to Key Worker’s during 2nd and 3rd Lockdown).
Social distancing, hygiene and ventilation became the norm for those at school (Coats were still required in the classrooms due to the cold temperatures and winds even in June, well it is Consett) - Whilst On-line schooling via Zoom, Teams etc became common place for those not able to attend physically.
Lockdown’s 2 and 3 saw relaxations to some of the measures but Teachers and School staff worked very hard to ensure that all children (and parents) had the best education and support throughout.
